The Days of Porridge

I thought my previous post would get me some peanuts in the "Soup of the Day," however a delightful new surprise happened. Yesterday, we had porridge (i really need to remember taking some pictures). Shall we examine the ingredients:

1. Several bowls of rice, enough for serving 11 hungry stomachs + unknown guest.
2. A bowl of peanuts, yippie!!!!
3. Handful of cute transparent white anchovies
4. Some dried mini prawns (har mai)...i forgot their actual technical eng name
5. And finally, whatever that adds to taste.

Of course, the porridge is cooked with our own slow cooker (much history this slow cooker, maybe i should interview the owner and write about this next time). And after a few hours, and a few reminders i finally tasted it. The texture is too smooth, with gelatin-like feeling, reminds me of pudding.

The taste, you imagine lar. Hahahahaha. Overall, can be improved further. :P
